For us, an ‘Essentialist’ is one who looks to reveal and live the essence of the Teachings of Christianity and the Bible. Therefore, as Essentialists a key element of our beliefs is that Christ dwells within us.  As Colossians reminds us, “And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.” 

By choosing to attend to the Christ within us, we believe that we can live better, more abundant and more godly lives. And with spiritual maturation, that our lives increase in peace, harmony, joy, and abundance. We become better people, better parents, spouses, sons, daughters, friends, better community members and better citizens. This also leads us towards living our lives to be of more service while maintaining our respect for others’ beliefs.

So, as Essentialists, we believe that the Bible contains essential truths from Christ about our relationship with God. We believe we have the opportunity and responsibility to choose to know and realize God by experiencing God with the guidance of the Christ within each of us and by living a life that reflects these essential truths.
